Holiday Presents
Mojo picks Rings Around The World as Album Of The Year. Super Furry Animals are also featured in this week's NME.
Xfm will broadcast Super Furry Animals At The Forum on 22nd December from 19:00-20:00. You can listen via streaming audio from their website. The concert will later be broadcast on Swedish Radio P3 Live on 7th January at 21:03 Swedish time (+1 GMT). Follow this link to the webcast.

North American Release & Tour
Rings Around the World will be released in North America by XL-Recordings/Beggars Group. The release date is 19th March for the CD and DVD. A tour is now being arranged, and details will be posted here soon. ~ 17 December
Skull Dishes
The SFA Shop is offering handmade ceramic Super Furry Animals dishes. Crafted at Rumney Pottery Wales, these 4" skull dishes have an upraised Pete Fowler design in their centre, completely hand painted in ceramic enamels and silver lustre. Glazed in a deep black and finished with a gold band, these limited edition pieces are of the highest hand crafted quality. Each dish is hand signed by the maker. Welsh Music Awards
At the inaugural Welsh Music Awards, Super Furry Animals won Best Video and Best Single for Juxtapozed With U, Best Album for Rings Around The World and Best Welsh Band. SFA let Charlotte Church win Best Female Solo Artist on a technicality. The awards, held at Cardiff's Coal Exchange on 6th December, were voted on by readers and website vistors of Buzz Magazine. ~ 12 December

Alternative Radio FM4 in Vienna will broadcast an acoustic session this evening, 3rd December, from 22:00 (local time). ~ 3 December
It's Not The End Of The World? ~ Single

The single will be released in the UK on 14th January 2002. The video was directed by French artist David Nicolas. Talking about the song Gruff says:
"It's a romantic song about growing old: a very melodic string-laden song. It sounds a bit bleak on paper but I think it's one of the most seductive songs on the album."

Avocado Dip is an SFA magazine that's been a few years in the making. Issue 1 is now available. From Sarah:
"It's got loads of stuff in it from interviews (Questionnaire from Gruff, Debs from Welsh Bands Weekly, Pep Le Pew, Beulah, Pete Fowler and Neil McFarland) to puzzles, reviews to furry fiction and loads of other fun stuff!! The mag costs �2.50 inclusive of P+P in the UK and is printed (so all the piccies are nice and clear), A4 size, 52 pages long with a glossy full colour cover (designed by Neil McFarland and Pete Fowler) and a giant furry furryhead badge as well!"
