Circle Square Circle� is a new monthly event at Cornerhouse featuring rare
DJ sets from some of the U.K's most influential and challenging illustrators
and graphic designers who continue to play prominent roles in the aesthetic
development of contemporary pop culture, while the major record industry
conspires the demise of sleeve design as a vibrant historic art form before our
starving eyes.
As graphic designers, B-Music residents Andy Votel and Dominic Thomas (in
conjunction with Cornerhouse) will provide a prime time sonic platform for the
heroic ladies and gentlemen working on the two-dimensional exterior side of
modern music's evolving / revolving image. 12 carefully selected designers who DJ�
such as Julian House, Pete Fowler, Rick Myers and Andrew Symington prove that
they are equally as forward thinking in the music they select and surround
themselves with, as they are with the radical imagery they create.
A collectable series of limited postcards designed exclusively for the event
will be available throughout the year.
